Tightening Torques for Terminal Screws

EN 60999-1 and EN 60947-1 defines tightening torques for electrical fastening materials, such as PCB Terminal Blocks and PCB Multi-Connectors, that ensure the secure connection of wires.

To prevent damage to the solder pins and/or solder joints, the housings must be supported when connecting the wires, especially in the case of two- and three-pole PCB terminal blocks. The support can be provided manually (held with one hand) or by the installation situation, e.g., within a housing.
